Iconic Manhattan Event Spaces
The Perfect Blend of Old and New
As one of New York’s most treasured buildings, the 130-year-old Roman Renaissance style palazzo has been preserved, restored, and given new life as part of Lotte New York Palace’s newest premiere hotel event space. The unique rooms that comprise the Villard space are landmarked interiors from the historic 1882 mansion of Henry Villard. Since then, the space has been infused with a contemporary energy and glamour, adding new sculptures, photography, and light to enhance its historic charm.
Once a private residence, the mansion has been host to guests from all over the world, and these memories remain today. Upon entry from the grand staircase of Lotte New York Palace lobby, treasures that include works by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, John LaFarge, and Louis Comfort Tiffany as we all priceless mosaics, boiserie and cabinetry can be adored. The dramatic gold room features a 30 foot high barrel vaulted ceiling with gilded walls leading into the grand marble hall which connects the three main rooms. Three landmark chandeliers line the ceiling in the mansion's largest space, the Madison Room, while large sliding doors embellished in tiny nailheads welcome guests into the intimate, wood paneled Gallery room.
